Pizza By Fire has been catering private events in Maine since 2011.  We specialize in baking great wood fired pizza.   Our catering has the look and cool factor of a food truck but the speed and service of a more traditional catering company.  Our pizza truck is a self contained full service catering unit including one of the best wood fired ovens from Italy, three refrigerated units, sinks, storage, and lights.  We can serve a full menu of appetizers, salads, and wood fired pizza for formal events, or simply salad, and wood fired pizza for more casual events.  We operate seaonally each year from early April through early November.  Our catering service is available every day of the week but generally books up well in advance for weekends.    



Catering wedding events is the biggest part of what we do.  We cater 40 to 50, or more wedding events each year.  We offer full service catering for weddings including appetizers, salad, and wood fired pizza.  Rehearsals/welcome dinners are most often casual, and budget friendly affairs with a simplified menu of salad, and wood fired pizza with the option to include appetizers.  

School Events

We cater for many school related events.  This includes families celebrating backyard high school, and college graduation parties; senior class picnics; project graduations; teacher, and staff end of year events in May/June, or back to school teacher, and staff events in August.

Corporate Events

There is no better way to bring people together than a catered event with our wood fired pizza.  Build camaraderie with your employees, or a way to engage with your customers in a relaxed manner.   This includes staff appreciation events;  annual company picnics;  company lunches;  contractor/vendor showcase events;  grand openings;  team building events;  retirement parties;  golf outings;  off site retreats;  and others.

Sunday Brunch

Your guests will love brunch with our breakfast style wood fired pizzas.  Wood fired pizzas with toppings similar to what you might have in your favorite omelette (combinations with veggies, meats, eggs, mozzarella, and cheddar cheese) are a great treat for a casual late morning, or midday brunch whether it be Sunday morning after a wedding celebration, or family reunion/gathering, or anything else you have in mind.

Our catering is a great idea for just about any occasion.  Birthdays;  bridal showers;  anniversaries:  family reunions;  Bar/Bat Mitzvahs;  christenings;  summer camp staff parties;  resident appreciation at apartment communities:  neighborhood block parties, and so much more.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ:  Event inquiries using our website contact form, or email is the best way to start.   Inquiries should include (1) the date and time, (2) location, and (3) number of people that you are planning.  Without this information we will not be able to confirm availability, and will not be able to provide detailed information for our catering.   We are happy to discuss things on the phone but it is always best to first have a clear understanding about the event details.  As a general rule we are quick to respond to emails, and slower to respond to voicemails. 
Please note that we are only considering private event inquiries at this time.  We are not considering any public events, and also not considering any event in which we are being asked to provide individual retail sales.

It started with an interest in baking, mostly breads not sweets, inspired by a traditional grandmother who seemed to conjure up the most delightful treats without written recipes.  Many years later this passion for artisan baking became a quest to bake a great loaf of rye bread.  The art, science, and genuine magic of wood fired baking truly grabbed me, and led to a pursuit of breads and pizzas with more complex flavors and sourdough cultures.  An interest in wood fired ovens was a natural progression of my passion for the best pizza.  I started Pizza By Fire in 2011 so that I  could bring my passion for the best artisan wood fired pizza to you for your special events. 

We make our own pizza dough, and just about everything else from scratch.  We source the highest quality ingredients from local and domestic sources.  We continually strive to refine our menu to include foods that complement our pizza and benefit from the use of our wood fired ovens.  We are based in Scarborough, Maine and serve southern Maine, the lakes region, mid and southern coasts.  We specialize in catering for private events such as weddings, rehearsals, graduations, family reunions, birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, corporate events, charity fundraisers, neighborhood block parties, morning brunches, and many others.

Amolitta Pasta ® makes Italian style semolina dried pasta here in Maine. We launched in the summer of 2019, and are doing well with our pasta stocked in many fine food markets in Maine, and a growing number throughout New England, and beyond. We make our pasta with equipment imported from Italy. Our pasta is made with USA grown durum wheat semolina that is extruded through bronze dies which imparts a rough texture that clings best to the sauce for better taste.  We dry our pasta at lower temperatures over a longer period of time for better flavor, and true firm to the bite "al dente" quality that is so much more satisfying to eat.  Our packaging is environment friendly made from 100% recycled kraft paper outer layer, and lined with a plant based compostable film inner layer.​
